Anline Leather A high-quality and popular leather. It retains its natural breathability, as the pore of the leather is dyed in such a way that the dye soaks in completely and the leather can continue to breath unhindered.
Buffalo Leather It is characterized by its extremely structured and naturally uneven surface. Buffalo leather is also available as upgraded nubuk leather with a particularly beautiful and unmistakable structure.
Chrome tanning A modern tanning method with witch animal hides are preserved and processed to a particular tear-resistant, sweat and heat-resistant leather using chromium salts. The majority of leather clothing is tanned using chromium salts.
Compfortemp / Outlast As opposed to passive insulation in the lining of normal clothing "Phase changing Material" (PCM) from Freudenberg actively reacts to changes in temperature. If the body and the ambient temperatures rise, the PCM stores the excess heat. If the temperature drops again, it radiates the previously stored heat back to the body. What makes this possible are minute micro capsules filled with paraffin that, depending on the temperature, change their aggregate state.
Coolmax A Dupont fabric which is well proven in high-performance sports. The material is composed of the polyester fibre Dacron which has a 20% larger surface than conventionalthreads. As a result, it can evaporate sweat on the outside of the fabric more quickly and keep the body cool. You stay alert longer with coolmax.
Cordura A very wear resistant fibre from Du Pont. Cordura is extremely abrasion resistant fabric - 4 times stronger than standard nylon and, in fact, 20 times stronger than cotton. The fabric is typified by its slightly rough surface. The melting point od Cordura is 210 centigrade.
Dynatec - schoeller Particularly wear resistant fabric with a very high melting point 290° C - for use in the the production of motorcycle clothing. Due to the combination of Cordura and Dynafil TS 70 fibres, the material is also considerably more abrasion proof and tear proof than conventional polyamide fabric.
Gore-tex Airvantage Insulation Technology Air is perfect cold blocker. It insulates, weighs nothing and costs nothing. It enables quick and individual adjustment to the outside temperature and the subjective temperature sesitivity. Airvantage adjusts the temperature individualy, at the same time, it is wind and waterproof, as well as breathable. The wearer can adjust the temperature as required to his/her personaly comfortable temperature. Simply inflate with air or let air out.
Gore-tex Armacor A 3 layer laminate that is completely waterproof, windproof, very abrasion proof and very breathable. Complete protection and guaranteed to keep you warm.
Gore-tex Performance Shell This is a very thin membrane (2 or 3 layer laminate) that is inserted under the outer material of the clothing and makes it permanently waterproof, windproof, and breathable. Micropores let the vaporizing sweat out,but don't let the rain in.
Gore-tex Pro Shell Is a very breathable type of protection which is very comfortable. The membrane is 25% more breathable than the normal Gore-tex laminates and is permanently wind and waterproof.
Hiprotec Is a light protector of sandwich design. The impact absorbing core of expanded polystyrene is between two layers of soft polyethylene foam. The protector is insensitive to temperature and does not absorb moisture. For safety reasons it is recommended that the protector be replaced after a fall, as the impact absorbing core can be damaged.
Kangaroo Leather Is a very strong and wear resistant material, which is also very soft and flexible. As it has very fine and closely knitted fibres. It provides excellent protection even when thin this is why it is quite often used for Gloves and racing leathers.
Kevlar An extremely tear resistant aramide fibre from Du Pont, which is used as sewing cotton or in fabrics. Kevlar is 5 times as tear proof as steel at the same weight. Due to its high melting point of 450C the fibre does not melt, even in the case of high frictional heat. This is why bullet proof vests are made from it.
NanoSphere Nature shows us how. The surface structure of leaves is transferred to textiles by means of nanotechnology. This results in a natural anti adhesion and cleaning process; Moisture and stains don't have a chance, Street grime, oils greases and of course, also water, are simply repelled.
Nappa Leather An outdated term for a smooth leather left in it's natural state. A finishing process makes the leather more uniform and the leather more supple.
Nubuk Leather It has the typical velvety, slightly rough surface, because the outer surface of the corium (side witch had hair on) is lightly buffed. In the course of time, nubuk leather develops a beautiful patina and a partial sheen.
Outlast As opposed to passive insulation in the lining of normal clothing "Phase changing Material" (PCM) from Freudenberg actively reacts to changes in temperature. If the body and the ambient temperatures rise, the PCM stores the excess heat. If the temperature drops again, it radiates the previously stored heat back to the body. What makes this possible are minute micro capsules filled with paraffin that, depending on the temperature, change their aggregate state.
PCM schoeller Specialy developed for outdoor clothing. The special feature: If the body of ambient temperature rises, the PCM (Phase Change Material) stores the excess heat. If the temperature drops again, it radiates the previously stored heat back to the body.
Ripstop To increase the tear resistance, a "crosshatching" of strong threads is woven into the fabric at uniform intervals to prevent to prevent the fabric tearing.
Scotchlite A material from 3M that reflects light back to it's source. It is used on all types of motorbike clothing as it can be seen up to 280 mtr's away.
Sheltex A high-performance membrane that makes textile and leather clothing breathable, windproof, and 100% waterproof. Sheltex is used as a Z liner coating in clothes, boots and gloves and ensures a good climate between skin and clothing even in bad weather.
Teflon Is a non -stick treatment which is applied to a textile thread, which repels water and makes it easy to wash of dirt.
TFL COOL SYSTEM Thanks to TFL cool system your clothing stays cooler due to the outer surface being dressed with pigments, so that the jacket stays cool even with strong solar radiation. At the same time ,the temperature of the material drops much more than in the case of conventional material, namely down as far as 20℃. Due to the TFL COOL SYSTEM, the light fastness also improves. No more fading colors.
Thermolite Offers high heat insulation combined with low weight and efficient moisture transport, as well as freedom of movement and comfort. The material also insulates even in the wet state. The moisture that develops on the skin is quickly carried to the out side. The large surface of the hollow fibres ensures quick evaporation.
Thinsulate Thermal insulation is a non woven fabric from 3M composed of 65% polypropylene and 35% polyester. The fineness of the fibres and the intelligent fibre architecture ensures not only a high degree of heat insulation, but also allow vapor to escape. They are light thin, flexible, quick-drying, easy care, dimensionally stable, and hard wearing.
Velcro It can be used very individually. The principal comes from nature. "Clinging like a burr" Caution All Velcro fasteners must be closed when washing or dry cleaning, otherwise it will damage the surrounding fabric.
Windchill effect If wind penetrates the clothing and impinges on the body, one has the feeling that temperatures are lower than they they actually are. With an outside temperature of 10 ℃ and a wind speed of 50 km/h, the temperature felt is around -2℃.
Windstopper The wind doesn't have a chance! The Windstopper is a very thin foil which is inserted invisibly under the outer fabric ,similar to Gore-tex. It is extremely windproof and, nevertheless, breathable. Consequently, even in the cold, windy weather, the climate under the clothing is pleasant and the windchill effect doesn't have a chance.
Z liner Term for a typical method of incorporating membranes. The membrane (Z liner) is hung loosely between the lining and the outer material of the clothing. All seams of the Z liner are welded watertight with a sealing tape. This design principle means that the thin membrane is very well protected and there are fewer seams that could become leaky.
